Tail Light Set
Our bumper and roof light sets for the Traxxas Slash and other short course trucks light up the night quite nicely but what about the back? Well, we now have a true-to-scale tail light set for the Traxxas Slash that bolts right on the RPM rear bumper, taking care of the final piece in the night running puzzle. Our tail lights add that concours winning touch for full-scale realism! With a set of bright white lights out front (using RPM light canister sets, of course!) and a set of RPM red tail lights out back, finding your way around at night has never been easier!

Our Traxxas Slash tail light set comes complete with everything needed to bolt a pair of 3mm LED’s (LED’s not included) to an RPM Slash rear bumper (RPM #81002, #81003 or #81005) including a pair of red tail light lenses, two lens housings and a pair of mounting plates (the RPM mounting plates can be modified to fit other applications such as the Associated SC10 and other short course vehicles as well). The lens housings can also be modified to fit other areas of different vehicles for alternate effects too, such as running a second set of lights as amber marker lights (identical to full-sized short course and Baja racing trucks).

For lighting up what’s out front, we have our light canister sets (RPM #80982 & #80983) as well as our roof-mounted light bar set (RPM #80922, #80923 & #80925). RPM light sets are the best and only alternative for continuing your fun long after the sun sets and the lights go out!

Rear Bumper for the Traxxas Slash 2wd
After releasing our front bumper for the Traxxas Slash 2wd, we immediately started receiving customer requests for an RPM rear bumper. In typical RPM fashion, we don’t just make replacement parts; we make the best replacement parts possible! So what sets the RPM rear bumper above all else? We started with our incredibly durable materials and created a bumper that is based off of current full-sized Short Course and Baja style rear bumpers. Full-sized rear bumpers are wide and flat and our scale version is exactly that, for the ultimate in rear-end protection. RPM rear bumpers will stop most rear impacts from affecting the truck in any negative way.

Additionally, RPM rear bumpers for the Traxxas Slash weigh in at a full 9 grams (18%) lighter than the stock version! Lighter is always faster.

What more could we do to make these things incredibly realistic? How about mounting points for mud flaps? That’s right; these bumpers come stock with mounting positions for RPM Mud Flaps (#81012 - available separately). Now the Slash owner can run mud flaps for ultra-realistic good looks.

RPM rear bumpers for the Traxxas Slash are available in three popular color options – black, blue and chrome. RPM rear bumpers are sold with all necessary mounting hardware and complete mounting instructions.

Tech Notes: RPM highly recommends the use of an RPM rear bumper mount (#80902 or #80905) for full rear-end crash and bash-proof protection.

Mud Flap System
(for use with RPM Slash 2wd & 4x4 Rear Bumpers only)
The Traxxas Slash (in both 2wd & 4x4 versions) is arguably one of the best and most authentic replicas of a modern Short Course Truck. Unfortunately, it lacks in a critical detail that many other manufacturers have incorporated into their trucks - mud flaps!

That is no longer an issue! RPM now has a mud flap system that integrates with our Rear Bumper for the Traxxas Slash 2wd & 4x4 (RPM #80122, #80123, #80125, #81002, #81003 & #81005). The RPM Mud Flap System uses a pair of molded nylon support arms that bolt to pre-existing holes in the RPM bumper supports of our Slash rear bumpers. These support arms hold a pair of well-designed rubber mud flaps that incorporate the molded RPM Logo on one side and are blank on the other. One final touch is a pair of molded screw supports that help prevent the screws from pulling through the soft rubber of the mud flaps.

Tech Notes: The RPM Mud Flap System is designed to work with RPM Rear Bumpers for the Traxxas Slash 2wd & 4x4 only (RPM #80122, #80123, #80125, #81002, #81003 & #81005). They will not work with stock or other aftermarket rear bumpers.

Roof-Mounted Light Bar Set
(fits most Short Course Bodies with a min. 6" of roof width)

Our Roof-Mounted Light Bar Set looks just like the roof light sets of current Baja 1000 trucks. It incorporates six of our light canisters (the same used in the front bumper light set of RPM #80982 & #80983). Each of the six canisters is capable of holding a high intensity, 3mm LED (not included) for the ultimate in nighttime off-road racing experiences. What’s best? These light sets will fit all current 1/10th and most 1/8th scale (although specifically designed for 1/10th scale) “Short Course”-style bodies! That’s right, they will fit the Traxxas Slash, Associated SC10, Losi Strike & HPI Blitz to name just a few.

The goal of our Roof-Mounted Light Set was to recreate a scale version of those light bars found in full-sized night racing while striving for some reasonable amount of crash-survivability. What we came up with is a light mount set that uses a unique hinge-based system that in the event of a roll-over, the light bar will collapse against the body to help reduce impact damage. The light set is designed to bolt to the front windshield of the truck (although with sufficient room, it can be mounted to the rear window as well), keeping the profile low and in the perfect position to light up the night! A pair of large backing plates are supplied that help protect the body where the screws hold the light bar in place.

We mold these light bar sets in black, chrome and blue to match or contrast any paint or color scheme.

Each kit comes complete with all necessary mounting hardware, light canisters, molded parts and instructions. The instructions also show how to easily create your own LED light set-up with a few basic electronics skills, some tools and a little patience.
