When we designed our Front Shock Tower for the SC10, T4 & GT2, we had several goals in mind: Improve the strength and durability, improve crash survivability and help reduce damage to other vital components. The results are everything we had hoped they’d be! The T-shaped structure of our front shock tower provides some serious strength and rigidity while the top-secret blend of materials we use provides unmatched durability.

Although the SC10, T4 & GT2 each have different requirements of the front shock tower; the RPM version integrates all those needs for unmatched support of the shocks on all three trucks while the redesigned front bumper mount base for the SC10 has been strengthened to sustain repeated impacts from the stock front bumper. All this performance and durability is wrapped up in a part that weighs slightly less than the stock piece it replaces!

Rear Shock Tower

RPM Rear Shock Towers for the SC10 & T4 are designed to improve the structure and durability of these awesome racing trucks. The I-beam shape found along the tops and sides of our shock tower provide some serious strength and rigidity while the chemical make up of our proprietary blend of nylons provides unmatched durability. The end result – a new shock tower design that will rigidly support the rear shocks while allowing the part to survive under extreme crash situations.

Additionally, the unique nature of our materials will help reduce transferred impact energy into the fragile chassis and chassis components. By absorbing that impact energy instead of transferring it on, our shock tower will improve overall crash survivability of the truck. All this and not one gram is added to the weight of the vehicle. RPM SC10 / T4 rear shock towers weight exactly the same as the stock part!

Rear Axle Carriers
for the Associated SC10, T4, B4 & B44
RPM steps up to deliver a superior axle carrier design while using the larger outer bearings found in Associated’s #9730 axle carriers (common to some B4’s and all B44’s). The larger outer bearing supports the axle better, providing over 1/16” more axle contact than two 3/16” x 3/8” standard bearings, for smoother, longer lasting performance. With the larger outer bearing and RPM proprietary materials, we found the perfect blend of strength and durability for a whole range of Associated 1/10th scale electric vehicles!

RPM axle carriers are molded in black, factory-backed by our industry-leading warranty program and are proudly manufactured in the USA!

Tech Notes: RPM #70172 Axle Carriers (bearings not included) are stock replacement parts for the B44 while the SC10, T4 & B4 may require the use of Associated #7935 outer bearings. RPM rear axle carriers fit all versions of the vehicles listed.

Front Bumper, Skid Plate and Chassis Brace
for the Associated SC10
RPM is proud to offer a unique front bumper system for the Associated SC10. It is designed with two primary purposes – first and foremost is durability while second, it has to look good doing it! Our goals have been met with an overwhelming success.

Our front bumper system is designed in three pieces. The most critical piece is our unique chassis brace. This brace bolts to the bottom of the chassis using existing holes to help reduce the possibility of chassis breakage through frontal impacts. We achieve this by using 6 mounting points – both servo mounting screw holes and all four bulkhead screw holes. By tying in all 6 locations with a stout, molded nylon plate, we create a perfect foundation for the RPM front skid plate.

The new RPM front skid plate ties into the same four bulkhead screw holes as the chassis brace but we went a step further and added two extra skid plate mounting holes to help disperse frontal impact energy over a larger surface area. This design protects the front bulkhead much better than the stock bumper. Additionally, we’ve eliminated the stock front bumper loop that ties into the front shock tower. By eliminating that piece, it allows the front bumper much more room to absorb impacts while transferring zero impact energy into the fragile front shock tower. The massive front curve of the skid plate does two things – creates a progressive impact zone that steadily absorbs more and more impact energy as the bumper compresses. The curvature also creates a great transitioning surface for those less than stellar landings or unexpected obstacles that “pop up” in front of the truck.

Light Canister Set
fits the RPM SC10 Front Bumper
Our Light Canister Set for the RPM SC10 Front Bumper (#80952, #80953 or #80955) is designed to give the appearance of a Baja Desert Truck with its scale off-road light design. Each of its four lights is modeled after a full-sized, 6” off-road light. Each individual light comes with a light canister (or housing), a clear lens and a light guard.

Our 4-light set also comes with a unique mounting plate that allows all four lights to sit centered in perfect symmetry within the upper and lower bars of our SC10 front bumper. The mounting plate uses the same three screws that attach the bumper to the bumper skid plate while keeping the lights recessed and protected by the upper and lower bumper bars.

Yes, the lights look simply awesome on the front of the truck but why did we make them? Well, we wanted to light up the night! That’s right, each of the four light canisters come set-up for a 3mm LED light (not included). Our instructions detail a very simple method to install a set of 4 LEDs in our canisters to carry the fun long into the night. Our calculations show that adding 4 - 3mm LEDs and tying the power source directly into the main battery pack creates a minimal draw of power but throws out a nice amount of light to keep the fun going as daylight draws to an end!

For the ultimate in scale-realism, there is nothing better than the RPM Light Canister set. They are available in classic black or bright chrome. Either looks incredible on the truck and adds the finishing touch to any concourse winning paint job!

Tail Light Set
Our bumper and roof light sets for the Associated SC10, Traxxas Slash and other short course trucks light up the night quite nicely but what about the back? Well, we now have a true-to-scale tail light set for the Traxxas Slash, taking care of the final piece in the night running puzzle (this set fits directly on the stock Associated SC10 rear bumper - see "Fitment to the SC10" below). Our tail lights add that concours winning touch for full-scale realism! With a set of bright white lights out front (using RPM light canister sets, of course!) and a set of RPM red tail lights out back, finding your way around at night has never been easier!

Our Traxxas Slash tail light set comes complete with everything needed to bolt a pair of 3mm LED’s (LED’s not included) to your truck, including a pair of red tail light lenses, two lens housings and a pair of mounting plates (the RPM mounting plates can be modified to fit other applications such as the Associated SC10 and other short course vehicles as well). The lens housings can also be modified to fit other areas of different vehicles for alternate effects too, such as running a second set of lights as amber dust lights (identical to full-sized short course and Baja racing trucks).

For lighting up what’s out front, we have our light canister sets (RPM #80982 & #80983) as well as our roof-mounted light bar set (RPM #80922, #80923 & #80925). RPM light sets are the best and only alternative for continuing your fun long after the sun sets and the lights go out!

Fitment to the SC10: Simply remove the upper two screws from the stock Associated rear bumper, slip the RPM mounting plate (with the logo right-side up) between the bumper and bumper mounts and screw the hole furthest from the lens in the mounting plate to the bumper / bumper mount (see photo above for an illustration).
